The MPM40 or Multi-Purpose Mine 40mm, is a trip wire detonated multi-function area denial airsoft mine designed to provide multi utility in a single lightweight package.
To accomplish this the MPM40 features two standard modes of operation; directional dispersion and multi-directional dispersion. Operating mode is mechanically set during the deployment stage.
quick to set up: by making use of detachable components and mounting spikes it takes just a few seconds to set up the mine, faster setup times can be achieved by pre-setting and live loading before deployment, in this instance a safety pin will stop any accidental misfiring from occurring. Once deployed, remove the safety pin and it’s ready to go.
Fast reloading: Designed to utilize a 40mm Moscart shell instead of a preparatory discharge system the MPM40 eliminates the need for in the field time consuming recharging and reloading processes. Simply replace the Moscart with a preloaded one, reset the mine and its ready go again.
Construction: Made of Stainless steel and CNC machined PVC components, all internal threads are either heli-coiled with stainless steel inserts or brass threaded inserts to provide long thread life; all units are quality checked and tested prior to shipping.
Exterior Finish: To ensure colour quality and color scratch resistance the MPM40 has been dyed rather than painted: using a solvent based dye penetration process.
Compact design: Measuring in at 16cm x 5cm x 7cm (mounting spikes detached) the MPM40 can fit in most moderately sized (think double M4 magazines) webbing pouches.
Free custom serial number: mines can be (optionally) stamped using a set of alphanumeric 3mm punches you may pick up to 10 characters A-Z 0-9 (uppercase only) per mine, for multiple mines please separate your desired serial text by a comma i.e MPM40-201,MPM40-202, ect. (Please note that customized mines do require a small additional restocking fee (£10) if returned & refunded)

Modular add ons:
Proximity sensor: This additional module utilises 3 ultrasonic proximity sensors and a pre programed error rejecting IC chip, once deployed the unit calibrates to its surroundings after which if it detects objects closer than those calibrated for the device will trigger the electronic actuator module which in turn will activate the mine. The detection range for a human softtarges is ~2m in 90° forward facing cone. this sensor is best used in where there will be low levels of interference with the sensors (flat surfaces) for forest use it is recommended to stick to the trip wire (integrated as standard with the MPM40) or use the Remote control add on. A 450mA 9V battery included provides approx 12 operating time.
Remote control: This additional module uses a simple remote control unit with a range of ~30m (subject to terrain). when triggered this unit will trigger the electronic actuator module which in turn will activate the mine. A 450mA 9V battery included provides approx 24 hours standby time.
Note: Both the remote control module and the proximity sensor module can operate up to two electronic actuators or alternatively the modules can be daisy chained together to you the simultaneous operation of both remote control and proximity sensing modes.
Electronic actuator: This module clips securely onto the front of the mine and plugs into either the remote control module or proximity sensor module using a standard 3 pole 3.5 jack. this module houses a servo motor that simulates the standard tripwire triggering function of the default MPM40. (included in both the Remote control package and the Proximity sensor package)
Furthermore: LHPD is currently a small scale operation as such many processes are not automated and require many hand machined operations, this means there maybe cosmetic or superficial damage and variation between units. To compensate for this all units come with a 2 week no questions asked full refund policy (minus restocking fee if customised) as well as a 12 month repair and replace policy.
