Description: The first printing of the first edition. Original green cloth gilt hardback. Original endpapers. 247 plus frontispiece with tissue guard. Externally attractive with some very light bumping the spine-ends (see pictures). Light browning to some leaves. Clean and free of inscriptions. Binding is sound and square.

This copy comes from the collection of Irish Literature and books formerly owned by the Gaelic League member and friend of Patrick Pearse, Stephen MacKenna at the Lowenac Hotel, and bears its bookplate to the front endpaper.
