For your consideration, a pair of carved wooden statues.  I believe them to be West African and to be fairly old, based on my own research.  The taller statue is clearly female, and I think the shorter may be a child based on the lack of breasts and male genitalia, but it does have quite a bit of chest muscle, so perhaps a subtle male.  The hands, feet, and hair are nicely detailed. 

Female: about 7 1/4 inches tall and 2 1/2 inches wide at shoulders
Child/Other: about 6 5/8 inches tall and 2 3/8 inches wide at shoulders
