PAIR (two) of Excellent Steel Sword Baskets
for Rattan Combat
When you are looking for serious hand protection, nothing fits the bill like this steel clamp style Sword Basket. Using high strength machine bolts your rattan is held snugly in place within the steel front and rear sockets. There is a hole at the base for setting a lag screw into the butt of your rattan sword, but it's nearly never needed because of the efficient grip of the clamp. It has good counter weight for balancing the weight of a weapon and keeping it more nimble. This sword basket is designed specifically for SCA heavy combat, made of a good quality thick gauge mild steel round stock and then powder coated for durability and low maintenance. Because of it's sturdy construction it can withstand quite a lot of sustained abuse.
These are sold as a pair, meaning a left handed and a right handed sword basket. We CAN accommodate a request for Left/Left and Right/Right if you'd prefer.
Like all standard sword baskets, your marshal will probably require you to wear at least back-of-the-hand protection while using this. Check with your local marshallate.
This armor exceeds all known world standards for protection. We do have a lifetime satisfaction guarantee on all of our armor, HOWEVER we do not guarantee the life of the user. Any contact sport has the potential for bodily harm and injury, if using our products in a contact fighting, sparring or any other reenactment involving weapons we do not guarantee against injury!

Handling time:
We generally ship in just a few days but we also
attend a large event called The Pennsic War takes us away from the workshop for
several weeks every July/August. We continue to accept orders while we
are gone and will send things out within a few days of returning home.
Watch for the away message and note the handling time. Please let us know
if you are in urgent need by a specific date and we'll do our very best to
accommodate your schedule.
We are happy to ship internationally and insurance is included in this rate.
