Rafael Alfandary born in Belgrade, Yugoslavia moved to Canada in 1970. He rapidly established himself as the most popular jeweller
for his hand crafted, bold jewellery
during the 1970's.
His affinity for women sparked his career as a jeweller with bold pieces that were exceptionally popular.
He was best known for his work with glass, which when melted
and polished, assumed a brilliant hue. He innovatively combined large, bright glass stones and base metals of copper and brass.
His pieces were worn by Margaret Trudeau (wife of the 15th Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau), Liberace, Muhammad Ali,
actor Lorne Greene and famous singer
Prince at the 2005 People's Choice Awards. He even created the 1973 Miss Canada crown.
*UNUSED RAFAEL PIECES*: All pieces are unused because they were apart of our old inventory.
A patina was created overtime which gives it a vintage allure.
** ALL pieces have been bought directly from Rafael Alfandary in the 1970's **
