How chose kilt size.

Kilts are traditionally worn at belly button (navel), with a cloth type of measuring tape, preferably with the help of another person, wrap around the tape, having worn your shirt, relax yourself, see what is the size comes to, you may tight the tape or to loosen the tape to see what is your liking of fitment you like to loose fit, snug or tight.

Now for example you have a reading of 35". Consider TAG size 34, tag size 34 is good for 34 to 36 inches as the kilt

has straps to extend 2" the size.

Most difficult to choose the tag size if you are edge of a measurement, for example size 34, in this case you may

choose size 32 and it will at the loosest end of buckle and if you choose Tag size 34 it will be at tightest on strap.

All our kilts drop length is same 24" drop. This drop size will be good for most of average men. But if your height

is too short or too long you must consider ordering a custom made order.

The most common mistakes when ordering a kilt

1 THE TOPMOST MISTAKE, JUST IMAGINE YOUR SIZE and not bothering to take the latest and actual measurement.

2 Taking measurement not seriously, exchange the size cost two way shipping which is some case more than

the price of a kilt

3 Considering you pant size as your kilt size.

Kilt Measuring Guide:

A kilt is usually worn higher than trousers, and as such the measurement should be taken from the navel (belly button). Therefore your kilt waist measurement is likely to be different than your trouser waist measurement.

It’s important that the pleats stay firmly in place during shipping and handling, to achieve this, pleats are stitched temporarily with large basting stitches.

First make sure that kilt is fit for your size. Then take out these temporary stitches as follow.

Carefully cut one thread then pull out each stitch, one by one, cutting the thread regularly to keep it short enough to be manageable and to avoid it knotting. Never allow a knot to pass through the fabric as this would damage the cloth.
