Gilson Opal
Also known as Kyocera Opals, the fire and brilliance of Gilson Opals are created by silica spheres around 200 nanometers in diameter, which act as miniature prisms in the same method as natural opals.
Cultured for over a year in Kyoto, Japan; our opals surpass natural opals in hardness and durability. Natural opals have the tendency to shatter due to high temperatures, inclusions and cracks, and low humidity.
They are available in white, black and fire opal colors.
