Choose either a 100ml Bottle or a very LARGE 500ml bottle of pure Saw Palmetto tincture. They are also suitable for vegetarians.

The deep purple berries of the fanned palm, known as Saw palmetto, are highly enriched with fatty acids and phytosterols. Extracts of the fruits have mainly been the subject of intensive research for urinary tract and prostate health. Several studies have focused on saw palmetto for urinary symptoms particularly in men who have an enlarged prostate gland. Its benefits seem to have something to do with its ability to fight inflammation, as well as its effects on testosterone levels (which affect prostate growth).

Saw Palmetto berries are also a rich source of phytoestrogens, so when taken in higher dosages they can be used for breast enhancement, in both genetic males and women.

Directions/Dosage: Most people take 2/3mls of herbal tincture morning and evening, usually in a beverage. Water or cordial is fine. Fresh juices are the best choice if possible though, as the Vitamin C aids nutrient absorption and also some tinctures can be quite strong tasting and fruit juice sweetens them.

Try to avoid black tea, coffee or fizzy pop for at least half an hour before and after taking herbs, as caffeine and some additives inhibit nutrient absorption.
