It is recommended that the Nylock nuts and aluminum washers be replaced each time

the valve covers are removed, but that applies to any valve cover gasket.

Silicone gaskets are 1/16" thick.  

Re-usable.

Use a light torque.

Torque instructions on label.  

DO NOT  OVER TIGHTEN

Follow the torque instructions on the label.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

•    Wash the cover and cylinder head surfaces with solvent.    
•    Remove all traces of oil.
•    The gasket must be installed DRY - (no oil or lube of any type).
•    Torque:   15  INCH Pounds    DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN!
•                   2.7 - 3.6   kg-cm 
•                   1.7 - 2.6   N'm
•    DO NOT let the gasket bulge or squeeze out.  This is a sign of over tightening.
•    It is okay to use loctite in the bolts

TO REUSE THIS GASKET:  

Wash gaskets briefly in hot soapy water.  

Rinse well and dry all surfaces thoroughly.  

Re-install gaskets using above installation instructions.
