The center nipple on the HG-N filter has two indents and not completely round.

The bottom center connection outside rim has two indents.

The mineral of the water are preserved too.

3. Mechanical calcium sulfite 

It increases the alkaline mineral content in your water.  It improves water taste and odors, and it is particularly effective in removing the chloride.
