Built of heat formed High Density Polyethylene, this armor provide rugged protection in full contact rattan sword fighting combat.  It is assembled with 550 test paracord and includes a hand lace to attach it to your fighting gloves or to hold it in place across your palm. All edges have been heat treated to give a smooth and safe rounding. This armor is entirely compression rivet free as we use solid copper rivets and burrs for closure. The wide cuff means great wrist mobility without any safety compromise. Failures are rare & easy to fix. It is designed for speedy armoring up and down. Although light in weight, these Half Gauntlets are nearly indestructible and extraordinarily tough. Although some areas ask that exposed plastic be covered in tournaments, this armor exceeds all known world standards for protection.

Sizing: We have revised our sizing to provide a more accurate fit.

  • Small - gloves size 6 also typically good for XS as well
  • Medium - glove size 7-8
  • Large - gloves size 9-11
  • Giant - glove size 11+

Handedness: Normally these are shipped as a left/right pair however if you'd prefer two left or two rights that's fine too.

Please note that half gauntlets/demi-gauntlets are intended to be used with supplementary armor that protects the fingertips (see above) such as a sword basket, cup-hilt, shield boss, or shield basket. We offer addtional hand protection, check out our other listings.

Handling time:
 
We generally ship in just a few days but we also attend a large event called The Pennsic War takes us away from the workshop for several weeks every July/August.  We continue to accept orders while we are gone and will send things out within a few days of returning home.  Watch for the away message and note the handling time.  Please let us know if you are in urgent need by a specific date and we'll do our very best to accommodate your schedule. 
 
We are happy to ship internationally and insurance is included in this rate.
