Kirk was born on April 10, 1963 in Canton, Ohio and he played his high school football in Salem, OH before playing his college football at Ohio State. Kirk was drafted by the Vikings in the 3rd round of the 1985 draft, played in 178 career games for the Vikings 1985-1992 and the Indianapolis Colts 1993-96 and was named to the 1988 All-Madden Team for his efforts on the field. During the 1989 football season, Kirk was named to the 2nd All-NFL team by the Newspaper Enterprise Association and the United Press International and was also named to the 1992 2nd All-NFL team by the Newspaper Enterprise Association. Kirk originally signed this photo on Saturday August 10, 2002.
