Ultra solvy can be used placed under fabric or card as a Stabiliser: Computer Lace - Reinforced Buttonholes - Edge reinforcement.
Needle painting - Pearl Embroidery - Monogramming - Textil Collages - Surface finish with effect yarn or braids.
Simultaneously sandwiched under and top of fabric - Richelieu - Yarn Laces - Edge reinforcement - 3D Works - Appliques. Machine embroidery onto delivate woven fabrics.
This stabilizer is suitable for stand alone lace designs, such as the sue box CD - '3D Lace Swan & Speciality Lace'.
Certain fabrics require extra attention when embroidering designs onto them. Fabrics such as towelling, velvet/draylon and knitwear all have the added problem of pile on the right side. To prevent the pile from spoiling your embroidery designs it is important that you 'keep it down'. This is done by putting a layer of water soluble stabiliser on top of your fabric as you place it in your embroidery frame. The embroidery stitches will then stitch on top of the pile as opposed to getting embedded into the pile and will result in a more professional finish.
