The factory front lower control arm mounts on the Jeep© JK Wrangler are made of surprisingly thin material. They're the first thing to hit the rocks and they are easily damaged and can be literally torn off while wheeling.

The Mountain Goat Series™ front lower control arm skid plates for the Jeep© JK Wrangler protect your front lower control arms and their mounts from damage caused by rocks and other trail debris. Their design allows for this vunerable area to easily slide up and over obstacles while reinforcing and protecting them.

Another cool feature we designed into our front lower control arm skid plates for the Jeep© JK Wrangler is the ability to mount them to a vehicle that does, or does not, have 3/16" thick front lower shock relocation mounts, etc. installed underneath the factory front lower shock mounts.

If your vehicle does not have any of these installed underneath the factory front lower shock mounts then you simply use the supplied 3/16" thick spacer plate. If it does, then the spacer is not used, it's that simple! This provides for a headache-free and easy 100% bolt in installation no matter what accessories you have installed now, or may add on in the future.

They're manufactured from CNC laser cut and formed high strength 1/4" thick steel plate and precision MIG welded for superior durability. They come powder coated in gloss black for optimum corrosion protection and a brilliant and durable finish. All required mounting hardware is included.

Installation is an easy 100% bolt in operation, no cutting or welding is required!
