Important notes on devices aged 20 and over

Cameras, lenses and other devices over the age of 20 are historic used goods. Their image quality, optical properties, accuracy and technical capabilities must be judged according to the standards of their manufacturing time. The respective item description, the specified condition and the expressly promised functions are decisive.

Also, the description as "working" does not mean that such a device achieves the performance of modern cameras or lenses. Deviations from current digital technology or differences in measurements with modern test equipment do not constitute a defect in themselves and alone do not constitute a claim for repair, service or price reduction. Personal expectations that go beyond the described characteristics and the legitimately expected performance also do not justify a defect.

For these devices, which are at least 20 years old, we do not offer a voluntary warranty and no promise of future trouble-free function or certain remaining life. Voluntary repairs or services are not part of the offer unless expressly agreed.

You can cancel the purchase within 14 days of receipt of the goods without giving any reason. Please see our cancellation policy for details. The buyer shall bear the direct return shipping costs in the event of cancellation, provided that he has been duly informed before the conclusion of the contract.

Statutory warranty rights remain in force. A shortening of the warranty period for used goods to one year applies to consumers only if it has been effectively agreed in detail.

Important Information About Equipment Aged 20 Years or Older

Cameras, lenses and other equipment aged 20 years or older are vintage, pre-owned items. Their image quality, optical characteristics, accuracy and technical capabilities should be assessed against the standards of the time in which they were manufactured. The individual item description, stated condition and expressly confirmed functions form the basis of the sale.

Describing an item as “fully functional” does not mean that it will deliver the performance of a modern camera or lens. Differences revealed by comparisons with current digital equipment or testing with modern measuring instruments do not, in themselves, constitute a defect or establish a claim for repair, servicing or a price reduction. Likewise, personal expectations that exceed the stated characteristics and the performance reasonably expected of the item do not, in themselves, constitute a defect.

We do not provide a voluntary commercial warranty for equipment aged 20 years or older, nor do we guarantee its future uninterrupted operation or any particular remaining service life. No additional voluntary repair or servicing commitment is included unless expressly agreed.

You may cancel your purchase without giving a reason within 14 days of receiving the item. Please refer to our cancellation policy for full details. The buyer bears the direct cost of returning the item when exercising this right, provided this obligation was properly disclosed before the purchase.

Your statutory rights in respect of defective or misdescribed goods remain unaffected. For consumer purchases, any reduction of the statutory liability period for pre-owned goods to one year applies only where individually negotiated and validly agreed in accordance with applicable law.
