Seymour Duncan Retro Antiquity P90 Dog Ear Bridge Black Pickup

The Retro Antiquity P90 Dog Ear is a hand-crafted bridge pickup engineered to deliver warm, articulate vintage tones without the harshness of modern overwound designs. This pickup drops directly into any standard Gibson P90 dog ear route with zero modification, making it an ideal choice for players restoring or upgrading their instruments while maintaining authentic period-correct voicing.

Tone & Electronics

An 8.6 kΩ DC resistance paired with Alnico 2 magnets produces the responsive, slightly compressed response that defines classic P90 character—articulate highs, full midrange punch, and natural breakup. The 2 bar magnet configuration balances response evenly across all six strings while preserving definition, delivering a vintage output level that works across both clean and driven applications.

Design & Build

Hand-fabricated construction using a plain enamel magnet wire bobbin and flatback tape construction authentically recreates the manufacturing standards of vintage instruments. The black dog ear cover is a direct drop-in replacement requiring no routing or modification to standard Gibson P90 cavities.
