Crafted in a Pre-Columbian style reminiscent of Central American and Mesoamerican ceramic traditions (such as Gran Coclé or Nicoya), this flared, polychrome footed bowl features a dramatic conical body resting on a narrow annular pedestal base. The piece is rendered in a warm, burnished orange-terracotta slip ground and decorated on the exterior with off-white and dark-accented slip-painted motifs, including stylized bird- or flame-like geometric elements flanked by broad diagonal banding. With painted abstract designs lining the inner rim and visible surface distressing, subtle pitting, and mineral-like speckling throughout, the vessel exhibits a traditional hand-painted, antiqued patina.
