Features of the is pen:
Presentation Box: This pen comes in its original white outside box which is says Montblanc Meisterstück, Hemingway, Limited Edition Ballpoint Pen ~ Model ID: 28603. On the other side of the box there is a sticker w/ # 137 & # 17459 printed on it.
This pen comes in a "book" box which mimics a library binding and opens like a book - which is in good working condition. Inside, the pen rests securely in the tray.
Materials/Design: Crafted from Montblanc's signature premium precious resin. The silhouette honors the historical, oversized Montblanc Meisterstück 139 fountain pen from the 1930s and 1940s, translating a flat-top vintage aesthetic to a ballpoint form factor. Features a striking coral red (orange) barrel paired with a dark brown cap and section. This design pays homage to the classic Montblanc safety pens of the 1930s, the decade Hemingway achieved massive critical success.
Cap/Clip/Trim: The structural core of the clip, cap rings, and internal twist mechanism is machined from a heavy brass alloy with heavy gold-plated trim. The cap is engraved with "MONT (mountain symbol) BLANC" & is engraved with Ernest Hemingway's authentic replica signature. It will not wear off.
The clip uses a classical shape that tapers gracefully toward the end. This design is modeled directly after the historic clips found on the legendary Meisterstück 139 pens from the 1930s and 1940s.
The wide band on the cap which is surrounded by (2) other gold-plated bands are stamped with "Montblanc" & "Meisterstuck-Edition".
The top of the cap is crowned with the traditional white Montblanc snowcap emblem made of contrasting resin.
These pens were strictly limited to 30,000 pieces globally. On the gold-plated clip ring it is engraved with: # NE 1158/06 and Germany next to it.
Ink: Twist-mechanism ballpoint pen & takes Montblanc Ballpoint refills. This pen has not used/tested, it was just opened to take pictures. As you can see by the attached photos.
Condition:
This pen is in excellent/new condition. This pen is free from dents/dings, cracks, scratches. The gold-plating is in great condition, along with the nose cone. The lettering around the middle band is in really good condition and can be easily read. The white snowcap is in really good condition and free from scratches & dents.
Overall this is a great Montblanc Ernest Hemingway Ballpoint Pen for a collection considering it comes with the box & booklet & its brand new, only opened to take photos, so you can see what you are purchasing.
