The (long closed) Clarecraft pottery was renowned for producing a series of beautifully detailed miniature figurines and models to illustrate Terry Pratchett's classic Discworld novels. They were all issued in fairly small numbers and their scarcity is naturally increasing as time passes.
The Silver Hoard first appear in Sir Terry's Interesting Times, where they have invaded the Agatean Empire with the intention of taking it over. This is, on the face of it, a daunting task for a group of Barbarian Heroes, given that there are exactly seven of them and that their average age is around mid-eighties. Nevertheless, they are quietly confident... correction: noisily confident.
Vincent is Old even by the octogenarian standards of the Hoard. It is perhaps not surprising that his sword can be stuck in the sand (the model features a convenient little hole in its base into which the point can be snugly inserted) given that he generally supports himself with a stick in each hand - indeed, it is not entirely clear how he manages to wield the weapon in combat without falling over. The figurine has been ensconced in the attic for many years, is in sweet condition, and includes the original box and original tentcard, both also in sharp condition. Postage and packing will be paid by the seller. Posts only to UK.
If you are interested, I have more of these characters to auction in the coming weeks. By the way, the Silver in their fear-inspiring title refers not to their pillaged booty nor to the glitter of their armour, but to the colour of their remaining hair.
