This vintage Kelty external frame backpack represents classic American outdoor gear engineering from the Sun Valley, California production era. Designed for heavy trail loads and multi-day backcountry trekking, it features a lightweight tubular aluminum ladder frame paired with durable olive green nylon fabric compartments and leather lash tabs. The iconic Kelty triangle mountain logo patch is stitched onto the upper flap, and the Sun Valley manufacturer label with frame size Large is affixed to the frame crossbar.

Condition: Fair used condition consistent with trail use and age. Fabric shows surface wear, light scuffs, and minor discoloration throughout. Frame shows typical cosmetic finish marks and scratches; one bottom frame tube is missing its rubber end cap. Webbing, straps, and buckles are intact and functional. Interior compartment remains clean with intact stitching.
