Vintage Taxco Mexico Sterling 1950s Signed AAB Cuff Links MCM Mid-century Modern Aztec Black Onyx

These mid-century sterling silver cufflinks were made in Taxco Mexico circa 1950s.

The Aztec design has a Modernist look. It’s created with black onyx showing through an overlay between two layers of sterling silver. Crushed blue stone chips accent each cufflink.

The cufflinks measure 7/8″ X 5/8′ X 1/8″ thick with some irregularity between the two in length as seen in photos, One is slightly smaller.

One Cufflink is marked with the silversmith’s hallmark (AAB in a circle that says TAXCO 925 MEXICO) Eagle 3 mark.

The swivels are marked Alpaca (Nickel Silver not sterling) One of the swivels is a little tight but moves as intended. There is some damage on one corner with some chipping of the underneath Onyx at corner, this does not affect function.

They have been lightly polished to leave original patina for buyers preference. Minor surface wear. Overall in good vintage condition.
