D-18E Modern Deluxe 2024 Model
Based on the Martin D-18, a representative mahogany dreadnought guitar,
the Modern Deluxe series fuses traditional manufacturing methods with modern technology.
This model is a 2024 D-18E Modern Deluxe equipped with a pickup.
The top uses spruce treated with the VTS Vintage Tone System. By approaching the characteristics of aged wood,
Martin aims for a vintage-like sound.
The sides and back are made of solid mahogany,
resulting in a clear midrange, light response, and a well-balanced sound.
The bracing uses GE scalloped X-bracing made of Adirondack spruce.
Featuring a lightweight carbon fiber bridge plate and other design elements that prioritize sound transmission and response, this guitar incorporates several features to enhance its responsiveness.
Liquidmetal bridge pins are used to achieve a crisp attack and rich resonance.
Playability is also a priority, with a Vintage Deluxe neck and high-performance taper.
The slightly asymmetrical neck shape fits naturally in the hand, supporting smooth position changes.
In addition to EVO gold frets and an ebony fingerboard, it boasts high-quality decorations that set it apart from the standard D-18, including rosewood binding, gold open-gear tuners, and a 933-style headstock logo.
The pickup system is equipped with a Fishman Aura VT Blend.
It allows for sound shaping that emphasizes a natural, acoustic tone, making it suitable for live performances and recording.
While valuing the warmth and clarity characteristic of mahogany, the Modern Deluxe pays meticulous attention to resonance, playability, and aesthetic details.
This is a recommended guitar for those seeking specifications that go a step beyond the standard D-18. Condition
Although there is some discoloration on the top plate due to age,
the overall appearance is clean with minimal signs of use, considering its age.
The installed pickup is also fully functional.
