Vintage German 8-Day Mantel Clock, Circa 1920s–1930s
Bring the character of an earlier era into your home with this handsome vintage mantel clock. Its warm brown wood case, arched top, rounded shoulders, metal-tone feet, and round dial with Arabic numerals give it the classic look of an early 20th-century mantel clock.
The clock chimes and works as expected. Inside, the mechanical movement is paired with a coiled gong that produces the chime. An 8-day clock is designed to run for about a week between windings.
Historical note
This clock is believed to be German and dates stylistically to around the 1920s–1930s. German makers produced many mechanical mantel clocks during this period, with a wide range of case shapes and striking mechanisms. I have not found a maker’s mark on this clock, so its maker and exact date have not been confirmed. The age and origin are estimates based on its appearance and construction.

Condition
The clock is vintage and shows age-related wear, including surface scratches and finish wear to the wooden case, particularly along some edges and around the lower area. The dial, case, movement, keys, and other components are pictured so you can assess their condition. The clock chimes and works as expected; as with any antique mechanical clock, timekeeping may vary and it may benefit from routine service.
