2001 Swift Mondial 1.9 TD Campervan – 61,000 Miles – Well Maintained

For sale is my 2001 Swift Mondial, based on the Fiat Ducato 1.9 turbo diesel.

Reluctantly selling due to a change in health circumstances. The campervan is ready to use, with considerable recent work completed.

I've reduced the price as I'd prefer to sell before winter. If it hasn't sold by early December, I'll withdraw it from sale and advertise again in spring.

The van drives very well and has benefited from significant recent mechanical expenditure. All the main habitation equipment is fully functional, and the rear seating and bed have been professionally reupholstered with brand-new fabric.

An ideal campervan for weekends away, touring or longer trips, offering the facilities of a larger motorhome in a more manageable vehicle.

Mechanical Condition & Maintenance

Although the van does not have a complete service history, there is supporting paperwork for the significant work carried out.

Habitation & Equipment

All the main habitation equipment is fully functional, including:

The campervan passed its habitation check in April 2026. The only item identified as missing was a smoke alarm, which has since been fitted.

Minor item to note: The fresh-water tank level gauge does not give a reading. The water system itself works properly, including the taps, shower and hot water.

Interior & Sleeping Arrangements

The interior is in good condition for its age, with attractive wood cabinetry and a practical, versatile layout.

The rear seating and rock-and-roll bed have been fitted with brand-new upholstery, giving the living area a fresh appearance.

The rock-and-roll bed converts easily into a single bed. For two people, a fold-away extension platform can be deployed to create a small double bed, using additional matching cushions conveniently stored in the overhead compartments.

This provides flexible sleeping arrangements while retaining plenty of seating and living space during the day.

The campervan also benefits from four travelling seatbelts, a particularly useful feature in a compact vehicle of this type.

Exterior Condition

The exterior is in good condition for its age, with no obvious areas of rust. As you would expect on a 25-year-old campervan, there are some cosmetic imperfections, including areas that have been touched up with a brush and a few small sections of missing or worn vinyl graphics.

Overall, it presents well for its age, and the underside has also been inspected by a garage, which reported only mild surface ageing.

Overall

This is a well-equipped and fully functioning campervan that drives very well and has benefited from considerable recent expenditure.

With the clutch, cambelt and water pump already replaced, a recent habitation check, working appliances and newly upholstered rear seating, it offers a great deal for someone looking for an affordable, practical campervan.

Receipts and supporting paperwork are available to inspect.

Vehicle History – Cat N

For transparency, the campervan was recorded as a Category N (non-structural) insurance write-off in January 2025, before I purchased it, with water damage and front-end damage listed.

The vehicle was subsequently returned to the road. An August 2025 garage invoice documents engine-related work, including investigation of a starting issue, fuel pump work, and replacement of the cambelt and water pump. However, I don't have a complete record of the original damage or repairs.

The campervan now starts and drives very well, with all main habitation equipment functioning correctly. Supporting receipts are included in the photographs.

Viewings welcome by arrangement. Please feel free to ask any questions.
