Operational, but would benefit from some maintenance, especially in reverse as it frequently needs a push to get started. Hesitant at lower speed, especially in reverse. See video.

The locomotive has Triang R259 printed on the base, and Triang printed on the tender. A search of Hattons Model Railway database, Google Images, and ebay itself shows that Triang R259 is a model of No.70000 "Britannia" (Class 7MT). Comparing photos of the Triang "Britannia" model against this one, it appears that the locomotive body has been modified or changed to make a model of a Clan Class. e.g. the steam dome is bigger on this model than on the Triang "Britannia" model, which is more in keeping with a Clan Class after studying real life photos. The locomotive is heavy so the body is possibly metal, or plastic with ballast weights fitted, although it doesn't look like plastic. Please note I can't guarantee it is metal.

The tender is plastic construction with a metal ballast weight added to the base. There are subtle differences when compared to a picture of the Triang R259 "Britannia" model, so the tender body may have been changed or modified.
