This body was produced with a non-standard hardtail string-through specification which we have decided not to continue with. As a result, the rear string-through hole position is not suitable for use with a conventional string-through hardtail setup.
The body is otherwise manufactured to our usual specification and is fully functional when used with a top-loading hardtail bridge, where the strings are fed through the rear of the bridge rather than through the body.
The existing rear holes are supplied with string ferrules pre-installed, giving the back of the body a neat, finished appearance.
Because of this top-loading-only specification, these bodies are being offered at a substantially reduced clearance price.
All of our GA hardtail bridges are compatible with these bodies when used in their top-loading configuration, so any hardtail bridge from our current range can be used without passing the strings through the body.
For this type of fixed-bridge setup, the practical difference in tone, sustain and playing feel between top-loading and string-through mounting is generally very small, making top-loading a perfectly suitable option for a hardtail build.

Every body we produce is made from carefully selected hardwoods, chosen for their consistency, durability and weight. Through extensive testing, we’ve found that a body weight of around 2kg offers an excellent balance of resonance and comfort, making it ideal for live performance or extended playing sessions.
The HSH pickup routing provides excellent flexibility for a wide range of pickup combinations, while the hardtail configuration offers a simple, stable fixed-bridge setup. The high-quality nitrocellulose satin finish completes the body with a smooth, vintage-inspired appearance.
