The image is an intricate paper-cut style undersea scene rendered in layered blues, purples, corals and golds. On the left, King Triton rides through the water with his trident, surrounded by Ariel's mermaid sisters, Sebastian the crab, a pink octopus, shoals of fish, a manta ray, starfish and banks of brightly coloured coral, with the golden spires of the Atlantica palace rising behind him. Purple jellyfish drift across the centre. On the right, Ariel is shown in her green tail and lilac shell top, red hair streaming, reaching upward towards a swirling pool of light at the surface, with Flounder beside her and the sunken blue statue of Prince Eric standing in the rocks below. A small printed artist's signature sits in the lower right corner of the image. The reverse is plain white card carrying a printed information card headed Fenway Fan above a Disney Parks castle logo, titled My Home My Sea World, with a biography of the artist and a ©Disney/©Pixar credit line. A small Disney Parks barcode sticker is applied to the lower left of the backing board.

The whole piece is still sealed inside its original clear protective sleeve, and measures approximately 18 inches by 14 inches across the mount.

Background
Fenway Fan is a Chinese-born, US-based illustrator and film artist whose whimsical, richly coloured work has become a familiar sight in Disney's park galleries. As set out on the information card supplied with this print, she gained her Master of Fine Arts from the Rochester Institute of Technology's School of Film and Animation, interned at Curious Pictures in New York, and went on to freelance for Disney Theme Park Merchandise in Florida, designing Tsum Tsums, Vinylmation figures, pins, home decor, plush toys and packaging, as well as working on projects for Shanghai Disney Resort. Her thesis film Handi & V collected awards on the festival circuit, she took first place at the My Hero International Film Festival, and her artwork has been shown at the Creative Talent Network Animation Expo and the Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art.

Prints of this kind are sold through the Disney Parks artist print programme, best known through the WonderGround Gallery at Disneyland's Downtown Disney District and its Walt Disney World counterparts. Each design is commissioned from a named artist, issued as a matted deluxe print with a companion 5x7 postcard, and rotated out of the range once stock is gone, which is why particular artists and characters become sought after on the secondary market. My Home My Sea World is Fenway Fan's take on Ariel's story, and a matching postcard of the same artwork has also been issued in the parks range.

Condition
Brand new and unused, still sealed in its original packaging. The print has not been removed from its original factory sleeve, so the paper surface has not been handled. There are, however, a few honest storage marks to note. The clear sleeve is creased and crumpled at two of the corners where it has been folded and sealed, most visible along the lower edge. One corner of the blue mount carries a small crease and a light scuff to the card, and a shallow dimple or indent can be seen in the mount board near another corner. A couple of tiny dark specks and a faint pale mark are visible on the blue mount board through the sleeve. The image area itself and the cream inner border are clean and bright with no fading, creasing or tears seen. The reverse backing board is clean and white with the artist information card and the original Disney Parks barcode sticker both intact. Supplied loose and unframed, sealed in its original clear sleeve exactly as photographed. Estimated Date
Circa 2017 onwards. The artist information card on the reverse describes Fenway Fan as having 'recently joined Hasbro, designing new products for Hanazuki brand' - the Hanazuki line launched in 2016-17, which dates the card text to around that point. The same artwork has also been offered as a Disney Parks 5x7 postcard listed by sellers as a 2024 release, so the design has remained in the parks range for a number of years. Without a printed date on the item itself the exact year of this particular print cannot be confirmed, so no Year item specific has been given.
