A miniature high-heeled shoe ornament modelled on Rapunzel from Disney's Tangled, moulded in resin and hand-finished in lilac, pink and gold. The vamp is a lattice of pale peach glitter straps finished with a matching glitter bow, set over a lavender body with a purple insole and a bright yellow sole. A white glittered ruffle runs around the topline, and the back of the shoe rises into a pink and deep-pink striped glitter dome. The heel itself is sculpted as a plaited golden braid dotted with tiny pink, white and blue flowers. A dusky pink satin ribbon is fitted through a small metal eyelet at the top for hanging. The underside of the sole is printed in pink script with Rapunzel, and on the heel platform in black with a printed artist signature, the circular Authentic Original Disney Parks castle roundel, and the codes SU-F640-4K and Disney Made In China.

The plain white outer carton is printed with a Genuine Original Disney Store roundel, The Disney Store Ltd, 3 Queen Caroline Street, London W6 9PE, DisneyStore.eu, multilingual decorative-item cautions and the reference FAC-019171-16015. A shaped polystyrene insert holds the ornament inside.

Background
The Disney Parks Runway Shoe Collection launched at the Disney Parks in spring 2013 and ran until around 2020, growing to more than forty designs. Each ornament reinterprets a Disney character as a fully sculpted couture stiletto, with glitter, gems and character-specific detailing, hung from a satin ribbon. The artwork for the range was created by Disney Design Group artists Cody Reynolds and Costa Alavezos, with Reynolds responsible for the majority of the designs including the Disney Princesses; the character name and the artist's signature are printed on the sole of every shoe.

Rapunzel's design draws directly on the film, with her lavender and pink gown reproduced in the shoe's body and her famous flower-braided golden hair sculpted as the heel. This example was sold through Disney Store Europe rather than the American parks, as shown by the Queen Caroline Street, London address on the carton. The collection is now discontinued, and individual princess designs, particularly the more popular characters, are steadily sought after by Disney ornament collectors on the secondary market.

Condition
Pre-owned in Excellent condition. The ornament itself appears unused and displays extremely well. There is a small dark smudge on the pale pink section of the glitter dome at the back of the shoe, visible in the close-up photograph. The yellow sole and heel platform carry some fine surface scuffing and light hairline marks from handling and storage, along with a faint short surface line near the printed text on the underside. All the sculpted detail, glitter and the flowers on the braided heel are intact, with no chips, cracks or losses found, and no repairs. The satin ribbon and its metal hanging eyelet are present and secure, with light creasing to the ribbon. The outer carton is tired: it is scuffed, creased and dented, has been opened, and the top flap and tape area are torn. The moulded polystyrene insert is present but has crumbled slightly at the edges. Supplied boxed in its original Disney Store carton with the polystyrene insert. This will suit Disney Parks and Disney Store ornament collectors, particularly anyone assembling the retired Runway Shoe Collection or hunting the princess designs. Boxed and in excellent order, it also makes a ready-made gift for a Disney collector.

Most likely 2013 to 2016. The Runway Shoe Collection launched at the Disney Parks in spring 2013 and was discontinued around 2020, so 2013 is the earliest possible year. The DisneyStore.eu web address and The Disney Store Ltd, 3 Queen Caroline Street, London W6 9PE address on the carton point to a European Disney Store release during the first few years of the range, before the .eu branding was phased out.
