Vintage Fondriest road bike forks, suitable for a period road/racing bike restoration or build.

A particularly attractive set of traditional polished metal Fondriest forks with the original Fondriest blade decals and enamel-style badges still present.

The forks have a conventional road caliper brake mounting at the crown and open dropouts for a quick-release front wheel.

Approximate measurements:

• Steerer outside diameter: 25.3mm, corresponding to nominal 1 inch
• Steerer length from crown: approximately 250mm / 10 inches
• Overall fork length: approximately 630mm
• Intended for a traditional 700C road bike / rim brake setup

There are also period markings/stamps visible on the steerer.

These are used vintage forks and have scratches, marks, tarnishing, oxidation and general signs of previous fitting and age. There is wear to the decals and marks around the steerer, crown and dropouts. Please study all photographs carefully as they form an important part of the condition description.

They appear to be steel construction, although we have not carried out any material testing, so this should be treated as our assessment rather than a manufacturer's specification.

A nice period component for a Fondriest restoration, vintage Italian road bike build or retro racing bicycle project.
