This jacket is based on a French Navy sailor shirt from the early 1900s, but with a hood added.
The front features a slit-cut pullover design, and the opening can be adjusted by fastening the tab buttons.
This updated version features double-welt waist pockets, a feature not present in the original, and cotton tape at the hem, allowing for silhouette adjustments.
The material used is a shirt-weight 5oz chambray. Both the warp and weft threads are indigo, making it a piece that you can look forward to seeing change over time.
