Edward Zinn was not a knife manufacturer; he operated a major New York City cutlery import business active from 1874 into early 20th century. The barrel knives stamped with his name were actually manufactured in Eskilstuna, Sweden—frequently by prominent cutlers like Johan Engstrom or other fine Swedish workshops.
