A Side table made of real teak Root Wood – the base is a grown tree stump, the table top is a cross section through a teak trunk with visible annual rings, natural depressions and the typical golden brown teak grain. This table wasn't designed - it grew. And you can see that.

Important to know: Cracks in the table top are possible with this table Since the table top is a cross section through the tree trunk, the wooden capillaries run vertically. This makes these boards more susceptible to cracks than boards cut lengthwise - especially during the heating season when the air is dry. Regular oiling is therefore not an optional tip, but rather important care to minimize the risk. Cracks that form in winter usually close almost completely again in summer. We want you to buy fully informed – and then enjoy your table for a long time.

Frequently asked questions

❓ Will I really get a different table than in the picture?

Yes - and that is the case with this product more than any other. No two root trunks grow the same, no tree cross-section looks the same. We deliberately photographed different specimens to show the range. If you like a specific character – write to us, we will send you current photos from the camp.

❓ Do I have to assemble the table myself?

For small variants (up to approx. 55 cm Ø) it comes fully assembled. For larger versions (from approx. 60 cm Ø), the plate and base are delivered separately and connected with a few screws - this is done in just a few minutes, no tools are required other than a screwdriver.

❓ What should I do if there are cracks?

Small cracks in the cross-sectional plate are a natural possibility with this table - not a defect. The best thing about it: rub regularly with teak oil or wood oil, especially in winter. Cracks that form usually close almost completely again in the summer. If you have larger cracks, you can also treat them with wood wax or a suitable filler.

❓ Which size is right for me?

As a rule of thumb: side table next to the sofa → 45–55 cm Ø. Coffee table in front of the sofa → 65–90 cm Ø depending on the sofa size. As a statement piece in the large living room → 90–120 cm Ø. If you are unsure, please write to us – we will advise you.

Wood is alive. With this table, the grain, shape of the base and the top are fundamentally different for each example. That's the appeal - and at the same time the reason why we offer current photos here. Deviations in dimensions are possible and are not grounds for complaint.
