A great heavy-duty cast iron Boston Gear worm gear reductor, model F715-10-B5-H, with a 10:1 ratio and dual output shafts. It was made in Quincy, Mass., U.S.A., as shown on the original orange Boston Gear "Reductor, Flanged Reductor, Ratiomotor" nameplate. The plate lists 1750 input RPM, 175 output RPM, .85 input HP, and an output torque of 265, with mounting position B. A rugged right-angle speed reducer that's in great working condition and ready to go back to work on your machine or next shop project.
In great working condition. The housing wears its original gray paint with honest shop patina and surface wear that gives it authentic industrial character, and the shafts show a light age patina. The nameplate is partly worn, but the ratio, RPM, HP, and torque figures are still legible. Please review all photos, as they are a key part of the description. The Sharpie is for scale only and is not included.
