Behringer Meatball Envelope Filter Pedal

'90s-style Envelope Filter Guitar Pedal with Sensitivity, Attack, Decay, Colour, Intensity, Blend, Trigger, Filter, Bandwidth, and Resonance Controls

Stomp On a Dynamic Quack Attack

When it comes to Mu-voiced auto-wahs, Sweetwater guarantees that you’ll love the tone of the Behringer Meatball. A stellar re-creation of the ’90s-era envelope filter pedal famously wielded by Kirk Hammett, The Edge, Kevin Shields, J Mascis, Dan Auerbach, and scores of other high-profile artists, the Meatball responds dynamically to your playing, serving up expressive quack-like sounds that you can trigger and mold with your pick attack. Additionally, you get a generous range of tone-shaping controls, including Sensitivity and Resonance knobs, enabling you to fine-tune the stompbox’s response, filter characteristics, and more. Moreover, the Meatball features a Blend knob that mixes your dry and filtered signals to taste. Most often adopted by guitarists but equally suited to bass, keyboards, and other electric instruments, the Meatball includes Expression pedal inputs for real-time control over the filter sweep. You also get true bypass switching to maintain your signal integrity when the pedal is disengaged. Brandishing a rugged, road-ready enclosure, the Behringer Meatball is built to take a beating while you keep the funk flowing.

Master the art of the funky filter

Thanks to the Behringer Meatball’s flexible control layout, you’ll be able to unlock limitless sonic possibilities right from the first stomp. Start by dialing in Sensitivity, Attack, and Decay to perfectly match your playing dynamics. Then sculpt the filter’s sonic personality with Resonance and Colour, moving from smooth, vowel-like sweeps to bold, expressive peaks. Use the Blend knob to mix in just the right amount of dry signal for clarity, while the Filter and Bandwidth switches let you dictate exactly how — and where — your tone travels across the frequency spectrum. Seriously — with this level of control at your feet, the only limit is your imagination!
