Vintage BUDDHIST BODHISATTVAS ASCENDING Decorative Wall Plate Hand Painted Signed

Size 10" diameter x 1.5" deep. It is a plate, but also could serve as a very shallow bowl 

A genuine handmade, hand painted/enameled round porcelain decorative wall plate. Has original gold foil label on back from LING CHI of Jinzhou China

The hand painting and detailing on this plate is superb: features two Bodhisattvas ascending to the Cloud Of Dharma, the last step of actualization. 

Looks like one is male and one is female

Meticulously hand applied enamel in shades of teal blue, ochre, and black. The enamel is slightly dimensional, not simply flatly applied. It is smooth and extremely glossy. 

The plate itself is very unusual in that the left side is a light blue color and the right side has a rosy-pink tint. Faint concentric lines from being thrown on a wheel are visible. 

This plate is extremely HEAVY- much more than usually expected for a decorative piece- top quality.

Excellent condition, pristine- without nicks, chips, cracks, crazing, scratches, dullness, or damage of any kind. Has a secure metal hanging hook and chain permanently attached on the back- ready to hang. 

I have owned this plate for about 30 years and feel it's time to pass it along to another person to be treasured and appreciated.
