Scarce and highly collectible large original vintage first printing concert poster advertising English rock group Status Quo at the Stadthalle in Germersheim [Germany] on Thursday, 14th December, 1972, presented by MAMA Concerts and with Blues Session as special guests. Status Quo were touring in support of the Piledriver album – their fifth studio album, produced by the band members themselves, and originally released in December 1972 on the Vertigo label. Containing the hit single “Paper Plane”, the album peaked at #5 on the UK Album Charts, and stayed on the charts for 37 weeks. Piledriver was the band’s first album on the Vertigo label after their departure from Pye Records.

The poster measures 59.2 x 83.9 cm (approx. 23.3" by 33" inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, smooth-finish uncoated paper stock. A very faint horizontal fold to the middle and a tiny rip to the bottom border, else in excellent condition. Guaranteed 100% original.
