The Lakland SK-4DX features a pickup layout combining MM and JB type pickups, making it highly versatile for a wide range of genres. The powerful, thick low end from the rear humbucker blends with the clear, articulate nuances of the front JB type, resulting in a modern, well-balanced sound.
The alder body with a quilted maple top provides both rich resonance and a clear attack. Combined with the stable tension of the 34-inch scale, it firmly supports a tight, solid bass tone.
The preamp features a 3-band EQ, active/passive switching, and coil tapping. It allows for a wide range of sound shaping, from slap to rock and pop, and is flexible enough for live performances and recording.
The exterior boasts an impressive translucent finish that highlights the wood grain, giving it a luxurious look that stands out on stage. This is a highly practical hybrid bass with an excellent balance of playability, sound, and appearance.
