Apivar comes in a pack of 4, 12 or 60 strips. Each hive requires the use of 2 strips. Strips are 210x40mm wide and therefore fit neatly between the frames, so they do not have to be cut.

One single application of Apivar has efficacy of up to 99% and there are no temperature constraints. It can therefore be used at any time of year. The strips should be left in for between 6 and 10 weeks, depending on the size of the brood and the time of year.

Apivar can be used during feeding - in fact, it is recommended.

Spring treatment is recommended: 6 - 8 weeks

It can be used any time of year, as unlike most other varroa treatments, there are no temperature constraints
