An interesting piece, that may have it's origin in the British Navy in China in the latter half of the c19th;
A traditionally shaped silver Bosun's Call, typical of the UK Military and Merchant Navy of the c18th and c19th.
Slender, curved pipe / reed to fit in the hand, with a mouthpiece one end, and the bowl at the other.
Equidistant double binds to the keel below.
Traditional criss - cross engraving to both sides of the keel, on one side is stamped 'WH', for Wang Hing, a leading Canton retailer and trader with foreign merchants - particularly the British - from the middle of the c19th after the first Opium War and Hong Kong becoming a British colony.
On the other side of the keel is engraved what appears to read, 'Tom GRIFFITH', indicating the owner of this Call was someone with the surname 'Griffith', and he had it personalised or perhaps gifted.
