This Van Cleef & Arpels Vintage Alhambra Pendant, a testament to timeless elegance, embodies the iconic four-leaf clover motif in a refined form. The pendant features a single slice of white mother-of-pearl, meticulously cut to maintain an unbroken nacre grain across its four lobes.
The mother-of-pearl, selected for its clean, even surface, exhibits a subtle pink-to-silver shift in light. It is secured by four prongs at each inner notch, leaving the lobes clear. Encircling the motif is a beaded border of 18k white gold granules, polished to resemble a string of tiny pearls, a signature detail since 1968.
The pendant is fixed to a white gold cable link chain, ensuring it remains centered. The chain, featuring a lobster clasp and signed tag, measures 16 inches, resting just below the collarbone.
The motif measures 15 mm across, offering a presence that is both noticeable and lightweight.
