Deep, Rich Sangria Oxblood Wine Glaze Art Pottery Centerpiece Bowl Signed (Ron) DIER 18 1/2"
Signed "Dier 81" on the bottom.  It is Ron Dier's signature.

It measures 18 1/2 inches by 3 1/4 inches.
The colors of this ceramic bowl can be described as a rich, multi-tonal palette centered on deep wine and crimson reds, characterized by a complex "reactive" texture.  The colors are not flat but variegated which give it depth, deep pools of color.  Glossy sheen that gives jewel like quality to the reds.  The glaze thins out at the rim which gives it a whitish rim.
Primary Color Profile - Dominant Hues: The base color is a dark, saturated red that leans toward burgundy or sangria. In ceramic terminology, this deep, rich tone is often referred to as oxblood (sang de boeuf)
Secondary Tones: Throughout the bowl, you can see lighter, more vibrant flashes of raspberry, magenta, and even hints of violet where the glaze is thinner or has "broken" over the clay surface
Speckling: The surface is heavily mottled with speckles, some dark and some aqua or turquoise.  These are typical of reactive glazes, where chemical reactions during firing create "floating" or "peacock" effects
There were blisters in areas on the underside of the rim that have burst.  See the last two photos.
