I have for sale a Canadian model 24 hour enamel dial pocket watch and it is an
early railroad grade "Appleton Tracy" model with 17 clean and inspected jewels
and all jewels are in solid seated screw down jewel settings. Even the screws
are flashed gold so this is a good reliable solid railroad pocket watch. This is
an 18 size stem wind and stem set model and the serial number is 5,728,732 which
tells me this American Waltham, Appleton Tracy pocket watch was produced in the
year 1895 at the Waltham Mass watch factory. This is an early grade 35 model
1883 movement and with a new mainspring it keeps time for sure! This 2 xs sunk
enamel dial has two small repairs to it at the "20" marker and "23" marker again
small but they are there small though they are
there and has to be mentioned and this is the original dial. The "beetle" hands are Appleton Tracy model
pieces and original as well as the glass crystal. This is a coin silver case
(.800 pure silver) and with a solid gold Horse inlay on the back of this 18 size
case. Across this pocket watch is 57mm. The serial number for this case is
366,776 and pat 1888. This is a clean piece and like all I sell serviced to
WOSTEP or AWI standards never any short cuts taken.
