The Epoxy noted can be obtained from auto parts stores. Allowing the epoxy to extrude thru the center hole creates a pin and makes a very tight bond with the car bodies.
One product I have used is the Permatex Plastic Welder- it works very well.
The last picture is one of the first such cars to be repaired. The steps are roughly the same size as the original molded steps but are made a little larger to add more detail for enhancing the appearance.
They will come painted with a gray primer. NOTE: The mounting surface is not painted for better bonding.
Note: They MAY have a Black oxide coating. "Depending on availability"
If you have a sharp eye you may notice the Hopper in one picture has a Westinghouse air brake control in between the hopper bays. [available upon request].
