This vintage White Border era postcard depicts a Gorilla specimen from Hall 15 at the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago, Illinois. The front features a clear photographic image of the gorilla in its naturalistic stooping pose. The reverse includes interesting natural history facts about gorillas being the largest of the manlike apes. This card is an excellent example of early museum souvenir publishing.

Buying more than one?

You can save on shipping by purchasing multiple items—I'll automatically combine shipping for anything bought at the same time. Add the cards you want to your cart and check out when you're ready.

For postcards priced over $20 (Buy It Now): I ship these first-class in a sturdy cardboard mailer, with the postcard protected in a hard plastic top loader.

For postcards under $20 and auction wins: These are shipped using eBay's standard envelope service (delivered by USPS), packed in a semi-rigid mailer. If you prefer upgraded protection with first-class shipping, please message me before completing your payment.

Important note about eBay standard envelope shipping: This option doesn't get scanned like regular packages, so tracking can sometimes be inaccurate. It may show as “delivered” once it reaches your local post office—even if it hasn't arrived at your door yet. Please be patient, and don't hesitate to contact me if you're concerned about delivery.

*To keep shipping costs reasonable for customers outside of the U.S., international orders do not include tracking*
