Antique Rustic Oak Pegged & Jointed Vernacular Open Shelving Bookcase Shelf Unit

Antique rustic wooden open shelving unit, traditionally constructed with pegged and wedged joints. Features five shelves, chunky projecting wooden pegs and shaped decorative upper terminals.

Dark aged finish with plenty of natural wear and character, including areas where the original lighter timber shows through. Solid, sturdy construction with attractive traditional joinery.

The rear bears an old incised marking which appears to read “1103M”, although its significance is unknown.

Good antique condition commensurate with age and use, with knocks, marks, wear and variations to the finish as shown. Please study all photographs carefully as these form part of the description.
