A breathtaking, authentic antique French Limoges porcelain parasol (umbrella or walking cane) handle topper. Dating from the late 19th century to the very early 20th century, this elegant piece represents the peak of Victorian and Edwardian luxury fashion accessories. The round porcelain medallion head features an exquisitely detailed, hand-painted romantic scene depicting a classical lady seated on a garden bench with a winged cupid/cherub leaning over her shoulder. The medallion is mounted to its original ornate, tapering gilded brass metal handle shaft sleeve.
