This vintage blank note card reproduces VENDEMIAIRE, one of the 12 allegorical illustrations of the French Republican Calendar (Calendrier Républicain, used in France 1792-1806). The original artwork was designed by Duflos del. and engraved by Tresca sculp. in the late 1790s; the original is held by the Bibliothèque Nationale de Paris. This reproduction card was published by Pierre Belvédère Inc. of Montréal and printed in Belgium (© by Jacquet, Brussels). Card is unused, blank inside. Exact production year is not printed on the card; Pierre Belvédère was founded in 1960, so this dates to sometime after that, but no more precise date can be confirmed without a matching box or envelope. Card number N° 4149, series code 85 R. The allegorical figure represents autumn, holding grapes and a key, with decorative floral and vine motifs. The caption reads 'VENDEMIAIRE' with text noting '22 Septembre' and poetic verses celebrating the autumn harvest season. Condition: Unused, blank inside. Card shows minor edge wear and light aging consistent with vintage stationery stock. No creases, tears, or writing. No envelope included.
