A completely unique, one-of-a-kind aquascape, individually handcrafted using carefully selected pieces of natural driftwood and stone. Rootweaver is a striking, open aquascape featuring beautifully twisted natural driftwood rising into a large arch, with long sweeping roots weaving across the front of the design. The open structure creates plenty of swim-through space while the varied branches, hollows and contours offer lots of opportunities for attaching plants and mosses.
This piece does not have a stone base. Depending on the natural buoyancy of the wood, it may require soaking before use until fully waterlogged. Aquarium-safe adhesive and silicone are used throughout the construction to provide additional strength and stability while keeping the finished piece as natural looking as possible.
The branches, hollows and natural contours provide excellent opportunities for attaching plants such as Anubias, Bucephalandra, Java fern and mosses, allowing you to develop the aquascape further once it is in your aquarium.
Each aquascape is designed not only to create a striking centrepiece, but also to provide interesting spaces for your fish to swim through, around and beneath.

Tannins
I no longer pre-soak the wood, as a number of my customers prefer the natural tannins to remain.
Natural driftwood can release tannins into aquarium water, with some pieces releasing more than others. Tannins are harmless to fish and are often considered beneficial, particularly for species that naturally inhabit tannin-rich environments. They can temporarily give aquarium water a light tea-coloured appearance.
If you prefer clearer water or do not want tannins present, I recommend soaking the aquascape before placing it in your aquarium.

These aquascapes are robustly constructed using aquarium-safe adhesive and silicone; however, due to the natural materials and handmade construction, occasional damage can occur during transit.
A small 5g tube of aquarium-safe adhesive is included with your aquascape so that any minor breakage can easily be repaired if necessary.
In the unlikely event that your aquascape arrives with damage that cannot reasonably be repaired, please contact me immediately with photographs and return the complete aquascape, including all wood and stone components. Once returned, a full refund will be issued in accordance with the applicable returns process.
