Ralph McQuarrie (1929-2012) was the conceptual designer whose visionary paintings defined the visual language of the Star Wars universe. This portfolio contains high-quality reproductions of his original production paintings that George Lucas used to pitch the film. These works showcase the early conceptual designs for characters, environments, and spacecraft that would eventually become cinematic icons.

• 1977 first edition release from Ballantine Books / Twentieth Century Fox
• Each plate features descriptive text regarding the development of the scene
• Complete set of 21 prints included


Condition: The internal art prints are in good condition with minor edge wear. The original outer portfolio folder is in fair condition, showing significant creasing, surface wear, and several tears along the edges as shown in the photographs.
