This is an attractive and unusual design of high-level cistern made in 1998. It is approximately 40cm/16” wide at the widest point, though the curved exterior makes it a bit tricky to measure, spot-on.
Inside the lid, it says MB60 (I think) and Made in England; inside the back, it has an impressed date, June 1998, and the number 143.
The interior workings need replaced completely - there are only some parts left inside.
The condition of the porcelain tank and lid is good, physically, with odd paint spatters and bits of silicone attached from where it was used in coupling it to brackets and wall for extra secure mounting.
The chain and handle are included, though I’ve detached them for packing.
I had an enquiry about brackets, so although no new brackets were supplied with this cistern in 1998, I'now included the very old pair that were used to attach it to a wall for the past 28 years - see the last photo in the sequence, added on 12th August.
The photos shown here describe it better than I can in words, though I’ll happily answer any questions as best I can, given my limited knowledge of cisterns!
